Changes!

We continue to update our broadcast with more great classic jazz.

A new change - now on the VIP broadcast (commercial free stream via paid subscription) listeners are greeted with a welcoming promo and then the jazz plays uninterrupted, without any promos, until you decide to stop listening.

The free stream continues as it always has - with a promo directly after a commercial break to ease you back into the music.

Conversion to Professional

The conversion is going smoothly, so far. We currently have nearly 2,500 cuts in our playlist, with more to come!

Big News!

Bop City has now partnered with Live365 to provide to their network a professional classic jazz internet radio station.

We are a part of a co-op of ten internet broadcasters headed up by Fusion 101.

So, we are undergoing some big changes and there might be a bump in the road or two but when the changeover is complete Bop City is going to have a huge selection of classic jazz broadcasting 24/7!

Trudy Pitts (1932-2010)

Playlist add - Introducing Lee Morgan with Hank Mobley's Quintet from 1956.

Side two includes a wonderful medley - Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise, P.S. I Love You, Easy Living and That's All.

It was recorded on November 5 & 7 1956 and features performances by Morgan with Hank Mobley, Hank Jones, Doug Watkins and Art Taylor.

Sonny Rollins Blue Note 1558

We've just added Blue Note's Sonny Rollins Vol. 2 to our playlist.  This LP features Jay Jay Johnson, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Paul Chambers and Art Blakey.  One a personal note, Bop City loves this LP.
